About the Role As Business Development Manager, you’ll lead new business generation across Melbourne and wider Victoria. You’ll be the face of Zircon—creating meaningful connections with potential clients, understanding their needs, and introducing them to tailored workplace fitout solutions. You’ll be working with clients from first contact to signed contract, supported by a talented internal team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys getting out into the market, asking great questions, navigating complex deals, and ultimately helping businesses improve the way they work. Your week will involve a mix of phone-based outreach, face-to-face meetings, and working closely with leadership to contribute to the sales and marketing strategy. You’ll also be managing your pipeline and keeping project details up to date in the CRM system. You may come from a background in commercial property, construction sales, leasing, or a design-related field, but what matters most is your ability to connect, present confidently, and drive outcomes. If you’re motivated by growth, backed by a strong work ethic, and know how to self-manage, you’ll be a perfect fit. Key Responsibilities: Proactively generate new business opportunities across Melbourne and Victoria through outbound prospecting, including phone calls, email outreach, and networking. Hunt, investigate, and secure new business opportunities to build a strong, qualified pipeline. Conduct business development activities via both remote engagement (phone and email) and face-to-face meetings when required. Build, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and accounts. Manage the full sales cycle from lead qualification through to closing deals. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and project records within the CRM system. Provide regular updates and reporting to the Leadership Team and Managing Director on sales activities, pipeline status, and lead generation progress. Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and refine the strategic sales and marketing plan. Represent Zircon Interiors with professionalism, confidence, and energy in all client interactions.
