The role
Principal Civil Engineer – Stantec
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Principal Civil Engineer to join our Community Development team in Darwin. In this role you will oversee the civil design and documentation on a variety of urban, land and subdivision projects in both the public and private sectors across an extensive regional client portfolio. You will have the chance to resolve design constraints, coordinate projects, interface with various disciplines, and deliver projects with the support of a multi‑disciplinary team. Responsibilities
Design, coordinate and manage urban, land and subdivision projects from feasibility through to construction. Prepare technical reports and specifications. Provide technical expertise to clients and support projects. Manage projects including scheduling and the preparation of project budgets. Coordinate between disciplines on multidisciplinary projects. Prepare and review proposals, variation estimates and submission documents. Contribute to the development of Stantec’s knowledge and skills in civil engineering, including planning, design, and construction. Maintain existing and develop new trusted relationships with key clients. Assist in securing and delivering projects through business development and client relationship management. Qualifications
Bachelor of Civil Engineering. Substantial experience in civil engineering design and the delivery of urban development projects. Experience and a sound understanding of current civil engineering technologies, including design, modelling and construction. Project management skills. Business development skills, local industry knowledge and connections in the market. Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.
