AIE, a well‐respected family and employee‐owned engineering consultancy, is seeking a qualified Senior or Principal Engineer to connect, lead, and drive the strategic growth of our operations in Karratha. Seeking recognition by the Institution of Engineers as a Professional Engineer or Technologist. Other qualifications with demonstrated experience will be considered.
With 8+ years of experience behind you, this role is about more than just technical proficiency. We are seeking a regional leader—a strategic thinker capable of representing AIE, navigating complex projects, and using existing local contacts to expand our presence across the region.

Your Impact
* Provide expert direction and practical solutions across Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical disciplines for crucial projects, primarily serving Tier 1 Mining, Ports, and Oil & Gas clients.
* Use your established professional network within Karratha and the broader Pilbara to build strong client relationships and identify new business.
* Drive projects from detailed design (applying working knowledge of Australian Standards and industry best practice) through to construction support and site‐based remediations.
* Foster excellence by leading multidisciplinary teams in remote settings and mentoring the next generation of engineering talent.
You will join a team that prioritises safety, professional development, and a pragmatic approach to the infrastructure projects important to the Pilbara economy.
The Ideal Candidate
* A recognised engineering degree with 8+ years of progressive experience within Australia or New Zealand in your chosen discipline or other qualifications with additional years of experience.
* Extensive hands‐on experience and proven engagement with Tier 1 Contractors and Clients.
* A solution‐oriented mindset regarding complex technical, engineering and logistical challenges.
* A strong, existing professional network within the Karratha and Pilbara communities.
* Current membership with Engineers Australia.
* Current C‐Class Driver's License.
