Job Description Summary
Under the supervision of the Facility Manager, the Assistant Facility Manager is responsible for assisting in all areas defined as a part of the Facility Manager job description. This management role may supervise staff, operations, and coordinate various functions. Primary responsibilities include ensuring client facilities, equipment, offices/rooms, and systems are maintained, cleaned, repaired, and serviced according to client standards and requirements.
About the Role:
* Support the Facility Manager/Regional Lead with daily operations, including janitorial, life safety, engineering, and maintenance, ensuring compliance with policies and directives. Assist with managing contracts and vendors.
* Implement and oversee maintenance programs related to the interior and exterior conditions of the facilities.
* Respond promptly to maintenance, repair, and cleaning requests from occupants, and help implement contract programs to address needs.
* Assist in preparing budgets, financial reports, contracts, expenditures, and purchase orders related to the facilities.
* Contribute to the development of capital budgets, including a five-year plan for maintenance, improvements, and cost reductions.
About You:
* 5+ years of experience in the FM or Project Management industry.
* Strong leadership and strategic skills.
* Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
* Financial acumen and analytical skills.
* Knowledge of property market dynamics and regulations.
