The Opportunity
This is a newly created position offering the chance to lead a small team of 4 people. It's the perfect role for someone who thrives in a leadership capacity whilst still enjoying being hands on in the day-to-day operations of the business.
You'll have a genuine opportunity to make your mark by embedding robust processes and procedures, including checklists and documented workflows, that will set the team up for long-term success. Ensuring the business remains compliant with all relevant legislative requirements will also be a key focus of the role.
The Role
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Lead and supervise a small Accounts Payable team to ensure accurate and timely processing
* Provide guidance on complex AP matters and support team capability development
* Oversee supplier master data management, including onboarding and data integrity
* Manage shared inboxes and ensure invoices, statements and queries are actioned efficiently
* Support and oversee end-to-end invoice processing
* Manage supplier queries and resolve account discrepancies with stakeholders
* Perform supplier reconciliations to ensure accuracy of records in the ERP system
* Oversee payment runs, remittances and period-end activities, including reporting
* Identify process improvements and resolve bottlenecks to enhance efficiency
* Support credit card acquittals, expense reimbursements and stakeholder queries
* Contribute to process documentation, training and continuous improvement initiatives
The Ideal Person
You are an experienced accounts payable professional with at least 5 years' experience and a deep understanding of what best-practice AP looks like. You will have worked within a large, complex organisation using enterprise systems such as Oracle, TechOne, or SAP, and are comfortable managing a high volume of invoices in a fast-paced environment.
You are process-driven with a strong grasp of governance and the importance of separation of duties. You're also a confident communicator who enjoys engaging with stakeholders across the business to get things done.
Salary / Rate
That salary band starts at $105,152 + 15% Super.
