Job Description: This is an exciting opportunity to work as an applied economist or forensic accountant in the Wildlife Crime Research Hub. You will be part of a two-year fixed-term, research-intensive position supported by Professor Cassey's ARC Industry Laureate Fellowship. Your role will involve tracing and analysing illicit financial flows, trade-based money laundering, and the economics of transnational environmental crime.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct economic analysis of illicit markets, financial crime, trade economics, and related areas.
* Develop and implement research projects, including data analysis and modelling.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including forensic scientists, conservation biologists, criminologists, and policy experts.
* Communicate research findings to academic and non-academic stakeholders.
* Manage research activities in coordination with Professor Cassey and the wider team of researchers.
