About the role:
As a Mine Systems Technician at McArthur River Mine, you will provide support and field maintenance services related to our operational technology systems. These systems play a critical role in enhancing the safety, efficiency, and productivity of our mining operations at MRM. You will work across various functions such as communications, fleet management, water monitoring, fatigue monitoring, just to name a few.
What you will do:
Conduct fault finding diagnosis and undertake repairs on systems and equipment
Complete maintenance of communication networks across the mine site
Install systems and complete ongoing maintenance on fleet management technologies
Implementing preventive measures and generating condition reports during routine maintenance of Fleet Machinery and Fixed Plant
Install and maintain instrumentation, including flow meters, level transducers, and pressure sensors.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimise VHF infrastructure.
What we are looking for:
You will be required to hold a minimum of a Certificate III in communications or another relevant electrical discipline
Comms techs or electrical techs encouraged to apply. mining experience an advantage but not necessary for the right candidate
Experience utilising role specific tools such as hand and power tools
A strong ability to scope, implement, and troubleshoot a variety of operational technologies
Experience working with Extra Low Voltage (ELV) DC systems in automotive, solar, and instrumentation applications (Highly Desired)
Strong knowledge of IP networking
