This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of First Nations children with disability and developmental delays. They will work closely with families to identify goals, aspirations and support needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* To build strong relationships with First Nations families ensuring their voices and preferences are at the forefront.
* To undertake observations of a child in their natural environment to assess their functioning and support needs.
* To support First Nations families to establish meaningful goals & aspirations for their child and family and track progression toward goals.
* To provide community connections and linkages to mainstream services in the local area to improve children's access to the right supports and meaningful social participation.
Requirements:
* Experience working with First Nations children and families.
* Understanding of child development (0–9 years).
* Knowledge and connection to local First Nations communities.
* Confidence in building community networks and service pathways.
* Ability to promote a culturally safe and supportive work environment.
