**About the role**:
We're on the hunt for a **General Manager** to join our team based in **Gold Coast**. This role will lead, coach and develop all Managers and teams within Gold Coast, as well as having direct responsibility for key strategic decisions that will optimise sales, content, promotions, PR, partnerships, risk management, HR, security, finance controls, OHS and CAPEX. The GM will drive the strategic direction of the company and maximize profitability at the local level to achieve optimal business results, while fostering a positive and supportive organizational culture that incorporating the SCA values.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Maximise the profitability of the Gold Coast market through the strategic and effective management of all resources under your control.
- Ensure local initiatives align with National objectives to contribute to the overall success of the business.
- Provide leadership, insights, and commitment to understanding and building positive culture in work teams consistent with SCA values.
- Proactively coach, develop and mentor teams and Managers across the Gold Coast market to ensure the execution of the SCA corporate strategy at the local level.
- In conjunction with the HOS Gold Coast, oversee budget achievement for the Gold Coast Sales team through directing, guiding, and supporting Managers and Account Managers.
- Supervise the operational performance and execution of content & sales strategies within your local markets.
- Promote a positive and inclusive local culture and ensure all people matters are addressed promptly and in line with best practice and the SCA values.
- Monitor and control expenditure against budgets and constantly look for efficiencies within the business, in conjunction with your network of Managers within the Gold Coast market.
- Be the local champion for process improvements and ensure communication on national business objectives are distributed within your market in a clear and concise manner.
- In conjunction with the HOS Gold Coast, be the public face of the business within your market by representing the SCA brands to listeners, clients, media, state government and regulatory authorities and local communities as required.
- Be accountable for legal and business issues affecting the stations and ensure compliance with the station broadcasting licenses and with relevant legislation and industry regulation.
- In conjunction with the HOS Gold Coast, manage negotiations on major client contracts by supporting local Sales leadership to identify new business opportunities.
- Undertake regular performance and evaluation reviews with local Managers and teams within the Gold Coast market.
- Working closely with the broader GM network and EGM to explore multi-market opportunities or issues.
- Participate in regular professional development and coaching sessions with the EGM.
- Undertake additional projects or duties as required by the EGM.

- Possess consolidated experience as a people leader, with a strong track record of successfully managing large, diverse teams in a commercial environment.

- Proven change management skills and the ability to reinforce reasons for and success of change with all reports.
- Strong strategic vision and the ability to use financial and business information to inform decisions and implement strategic initiatives.
