About the role: The Policy Officer, Strategic Policy and Projects role works as part of an internal consultancy to provide high quality research and analysis, provide strategic advice, and contribute to the delivery of strategic projects across the Department of Health. You will provide policy development support and capability building through work on specific policy projects working in a matrix model to deliver internal consulting support. About you: To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: A tertiary qualification in fields related to public health, health economics/economics, social policy or health administration. Alternatively, a tertiary qualification in another field combined with relevant work experience in the above areas, including experience in using evidence, data analytics and visualisation, or economic analysis. Knowledge and experience in government, the health sector, health service delivery, the social sector and/or economics, with demonstrated policy skills. Experience in analysing, interpreting, visualising, presenting and communicating quantitative data to a range of audiences. Experience using Victorian Government administrative data is desirable (coding experience is a bonus). Consulting experience is desirable.
