Steamatic Canberra is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assessment Manager to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality restoration outcomes for insurers and clients.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for assessing, quoting, and overseeing restoration projects following storm, flood, mould, and fire damage. This is a hands-on and leadership-focused role where you’ll combine technical expertise with stakeholder management to ensure jobs are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct detailed property assessments and prepare accurate quotes, reports, and invoices
· Oversee and coordinate restoration projects, including large-loss and complex jobs
· Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality standards
· Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, insurers, and stakeholders
· Support and guide technicians to ensure effective job completion and team development
· Monitor project margins and contribute to achieving company KPIs
· Manage resources including vehicles, equipment, and materials when required
· Be available for occasional after-hours response when necessary
About You
You’re a proactive and reliable professional with strong organisational and communication skills. You’re comfortable balancing fieldwork with reporting and enjoy working in a fast-paced, problem-solving environment.

· A hands-on approach and willingness to be involved onsite
· Experience managing people
Highly regarded (but not essential):
· Experience in physical/onsite work environments
· Previous leadership or supervisory experience
