Role Description
* Assist in the preparation of recycled polymer formulations (e.g. thermoplastics, elastomers)
* Operate laboratory equipment such as extruders, mixers, and moulding machines under supervision
* Prepare samples for testing and maintain proper labelling and documentation
* Record, analyse, and report test results accurately
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laboratory
* Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols
* Assist with troubleshooting basic processing or material issues
* Support senior technicians and engineers in R&D and quality control activities
* Assist with equipment setup, cleaning and maintenance

About You
* Practical and mechanically minded
* Comfortable working with equipment and laboratory processes
* Good attention to detail and record keeping
* Experience in plastics, manufacturing, laboratory work or materials science is beneficial but not essential
Qualifications
* TAFE or university practicals
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Polymer Technology, Laboratory Techniques, Chemistry, Materials Science
* Or
* Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or Chemistry
