The role

Your New Role

As the Club Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational, financial, and people management of the PCYC Sandgate and Zillmere facilities. In this role you will lead and support staff in developing and implementing operational plans, driving financial performance, and managing budgets effectively. You will inspire and guide a high‐performing multidisciplinary team while ensuring compliance with PCYC policies, safety standards and child protection requirements.

A key part of your role will be to develop and maintain strong relationships with members, local businesses and community organisations, fostering engagement and collaboration. You will also oversee and optimise PCYC programmes such as Gym, Fitness, Gymnastics and Little n Active, promoting membership growth and retention through targeted local marketing and community initiatives.

Above all, you will champion PCYC's core values of Respect, Passion, Teamwork, Commitment and Leadership, ensuring these principles are embedded in all aspects of club operations.

About You

  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role, ideally in a similar operational or community setting.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets and delivering on KPIs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem‐solving abilities and the capacity to implement and manage change in a logical, impactful way.
  • Previous experience working in the not‐for‐profit sector is desirable.
  • Qualifications in gym and fitness and/or gymnastics are desirable.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
  • Current unrestricted driver's licence.
  • Working With Children Check (Blue Card) – no card, no start. Restriction applies under the Law.
  • Completion of a National Police Check upon commencement.
