About the work unit / facility
Magnetic Island Health Primary Care Clinic (MIHPCC) is a rural and remote primary health care service providing essential emergency and community-based clinical services to residents and visitors of Magnetic Island. The service operates nurse-led clinics Monday to Friday and provides a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week on-call emergency response service.
The clinic delivers a broad range of clinical services including emergency presentations, acute and chronic disease management, wound care, immunisations, antenatal and postnatal care, telehealth-supported specialist services and access to allied health support, including clinical social work services.

* Salary range: $56.08 - $60.05 p.h. (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1)
* 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
* 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity
Clinical Nurses at MIHPCC work within a multidisciplinary team and practice with a high level of autonomy, clinical judgement and accountability. The service maintains strong clinical governance frameworks and works closely with Townsville Hospital and Health Service to coordinate retrievals, acute transfers and specialist referrals as required, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centred care in a rural and remote context.
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position and registration with AHPRA.
* Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
