Executive Sous Chef
The Executive Sous Chef plays a pivotal role in the culinary team, overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen and ensuring exceptional quality standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing and implementing menu strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and drive revenue growth;
* Overseeing the training and development of up to 40 employees, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the kitchen team;
* Collaborating with the Executive Chef to create innovative dishes and menus that showcase the resort's culinary expertise;
* Ensuring seamless communication and coordination between kitchen staff, front-of-house teams, and suppliers to maintain optimal service standards;
* Maintaining accurate records and reports on departmental performance, including employee training, menu planning, and inventory management.
Requirements:
* A formal qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent;
* At least 5 years' experience working at middle-to-upper-level management within a large 4- or 5-star hotel or resort;
* Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth, improving customer satisfaction, and developing high-performing teams;
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret data and make informed decisions;
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with ability to motivate and inspire teams towards shared goals.
