About the Opportunity
Outstanding opportunity is available for a Demand Planner with proven experience in managing supply chain operations. This role is currently based in Mentone, VIC.
The successful applicant will report to the Supply Chain and Customer Experience Manager, working with Distribution Centre Team, Sales, Business Development, Regional Demand Planning, Regional and Global Transport, Trade Lane Managers, Suppliers / SKF Supplying Units, Quality & EHS Team, Finance teams.
Responsibilities
* Managing product assortments and stock levels to avoid shortages or excess
* Using planning systems to forecast demand and replenish inventory
* Monitoring customer portals (like Ariba and ANCA) for forecast changes
* Coordinating deliveries to meet customer expectations
* Resolving inventory and delivery issues with suppliers and internal teams
* Keeping systems updated with accurate delivery dates and stock info
* Working closely with the Distribution Centre and Senior Demand Planner to improve operations
* Collaborate across departments and the global SKF network to solve problems
* Contribute to process improvement projects and take the lead when needed
* Support business initiatives at local, regional, and global levels
About You
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* Formal qualifications with relevance to Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or
* At least 3+ years of experience in Purchasing/Supply Planning activities within the relevant industrial segment would be advantageous.
* Product knowledge of bearings, power transmission, lubrication, seals and condition monitoring in general.
* Understanding of general import/export shipping practices.
* Knowledge of SAP Sales & Distribution, Purchasing and Materials Management Modules would provide a strategic value.
* Intermediate Office 365 competency (Apps including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI).
* Good general administrative and organisational skills are required to ensure timely movement of products.
* Ability to plan, prioritise and achieve objectives within the required deadlines.
* Sound numeric; verbal and written English language skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills and customer-centric focus.
* Active listening and effective communication and presentation skills.
