Key responsibilities
* Provide strategic advice on complex financial matters to a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Drive long-term financial strategy and support groups across the business.
* Oversee financial operations including unclaimed money responsibilities.
* Lead statutory financial reporting and financial framework functions which includes preparing consolidated year-end financial statements and work papers.
* Prepare ASIC's annual budget.
You will promote a high-performance culture, drive financial compliance, and partner with senior leaders to achieve business outcomes. You will work collaboratively with the business planning and performance reporting team to improve ASIC's reporting framework and deliver insights that support ASIC's work.
Requirements
* Demonstrated ability to lead, support and influence large, high performing teams in a dynamic and complex environment.
* Considerable experience in direct management of large teams and ability to foster a culture continuous improvement.
* Proven track record operating at a senior executive level, having managed a complex finance function within the public sector.
* Ability to operate strategically across the business, problem solve, understand challenges, communicate and support your team at an operational level.
