We are looking for a skilled and competent Electricians to join our team as an O&M Electrician during the Operations and Maintenance phase of our Solar Farm project. Currently living in Uralla or New England Region (NSW), or willing to relocate for the duration of the role. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and solving issues of the plant, undertaking preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring compliance with the requirements.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and similar
• Experience in electrical maintenance and repairing various types of electrical equipment with preferred experience in renewables and solar
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting various project systems issues
• Developing standard operating documents for machine maintenance, operations, and training
• Overseeing and supervising sub-contractors
• Undertake to switch as required according to the HV Switching Procedures
• Cooperate with the Site Manager to ensure all compliance to OHS and Environmental requirements
• Cooperate with the Site Manager to ensure all registers are maintained and kept up to date
• 7-days roster including public and special public holidays
• Availability for 24hr on-call (when required). Standard and Special hourly rates apply
• Overtime and availability outside of normal daytime hours (i.e. night works, when requested)
• Work Order System knowledge, incident investigation, O&M Management software familiarity (CMMS) – Training will be provided
• Send Work Request and open Work Orders, processing and completing the works
• Inventory experience, including materials and equipment storage
• Understand and comply with the permits and licenses needed for the electrical works
• Understand and comply with the Health and Safety plan and documentation
• Experience with the SWMS, JSEA, PPE and other H&S matters
• Understand and comply with Quality and Environment plan development
• Reporting of O&M activities to the Site Manager
• Reporting of Health, Safety, and Environmental incidents to the HSE and Site Manager
• Supervision the rest of the team, when requested
• Monitoring of asset performance
• Management of personnel and subcontractors
• Cooperate with the HSE Manager to ensure all compliance to OHS and Environmental requirements
• Cooperate with the O&M Personnel to ensure all registers are maintained and kept up to date
• Support the remote monitoring room in the weekly, monthly and annual reporting
Accountabilities:
• Capability for a team-leading small groups of workers
• Supervision of site activities and reporting
• Liaise with the GLC office, remote monitoring room, Subcontractors, and, when requested, with the Client site team
• Perform a high level of site proactive actions and monitoring in order to reduce the breakdowns and downtimes of the Solar Farm
• Manage the day-by-day site activities and be responsible for the assigned plant resources
Requirements:
• Recognized license of HV Swathing Operator or keen to undertake the HV Switching Course
• Ability to work a 7-day roster, including public and special public holidays, and availability for 24-hour on-call (when required)
• Experience in electrical maintenance, repairing, and troubleshooting various types of electrical equipment with preferred experience in renewables and solar
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Familiarity with Work Order Systems, incident investigation, and O&M Management Software (CMMS)
• Knowledge of permits, licenses, and health and safety documentation required for electrical works
• Understanding of Quality and Environment plan development and reporting of O&M activities to the Site Manager
