Cathara Consulting is an Australian-based Consulting firm specialising in Business Transformations, Technology Consulting & Resourcing Services.Our Perth based client is seeking an experienced Program Architect for a large program.Commencing in February ****, this is an initial 6 month contract, with multiple extensions offered for the right candidate.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide architecture services for the program, working closely with the solution architect and technical resources, and business analysts.Provide technical input into program-level decisions.Collaborate with project teams to ensure technical and architectural alignment across all streams of work and projects.Ensure alignment with architecture principles and the digital roadmap.Provide integration advice when planning and implementing solutions.Deliver architectural guidance and oversight, ensuring strategic planning and governance that facilitate successful technology implementation across the program area.Prioritise solution-specific choices and assess how these decisions influence broader business objectives and results.Develop architectural solutions that align with essential project deliverables and business needs.Ensure that proposed architectural solutions are properly reviewed and agreed upon by all relevant stakeholders.Produce well-structured outputs, such as decision briefs and impact evaluations, to support program governance.Required Skills and ExperienceExtensive experience in enterprise systems architecture, covering both on-premises and cloud-based environments.Proficient in integration patterns, API development, and middleware technologies.Well-versed in data modelling techniques, security best practices, and optimising system performance.Skilled in operating within formal governance structures and providing reports to Program Boards or similar oversight groups.Adept at creating technical documentation such as solution designs, impact analyses, and decision-making papers.Capable of developing and reviewing both functional and non-functional requirements, as well as user stories and process diagrams.Experienced in recognising and addressing technical risks at early stages of project delivery.Knowledgeable in quality assurance practices and ensuring adherence to compliance standards.Desirable Skills and ExperienceFamiliarity with IT change management principles to support technology adoption.Experience in training and knowledge transfer for end-users and technical teams.This role is Perth based with no remote working options available, therefore you will need to reside in Perth for the duration of this role.A National Police Clearance is required.
