What we need
We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Full Time Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Services team based in Hobart.
Responsibilities
* Accurate and timely review and preparation of monthly financial reporting through the review and preparation of journals and reconciliations
* Completion of end of financial year tasks required to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of the financial statements
* Provide operational and clinical teams with financial support to ensure reporting and compliance requirements are met
* Complete high-level financial analysis and respond to financial queries from internal and external stakeholders
* Ensure processes and controls are documented and maintained at best practice, where required recommend and implement required process improvements
* Manage workload distribution effectively by delegation of tasks within the team
* Form and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders built on trust and respect
* Facilitate meetings including those with internal and external stakeholders
* Review and ensure the accurate and timely completion of all aged care related surveys such as ABS and Stewart Brown
* Work with the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Manager in relation to various projects and system implementations
* Supervise and train members of the finance team according to Organisational structure.
What you bring to the role
* CA/CPA (or close to completion)
* Bachelor Degree in Accounting or other relevant specialty
* Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in accounting and finance
* Experience in using TechnologyOne
* Experience in a not-for-profit and/or Aged Care environment (desirable)
* WWVP Registration with NDIS Endorsement
