Safety Excellence Manager
The organisation requires a Safety Excellence Manager to lead the design and delivery of a programme aimed at strengthening safety culture and identifying, managing and mitigating serious risks across operations. The role is critical in ensuring that the most severe hazards are consistently identified, assessed and controlled.
The Programme Manager will coordinate the delivery of key workstreams, monitor performance against defined milestones and facilitate collaboration across stakeholders from Safety, Operations, Asset Management, Change and Communications. This includes ensuring that programme objectives are clearly defined, implementation is tracked and evaluated, and outcomes are effectively transitioned into business-as-usual capability.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the strategic design and delivery of the Fatal Hazard and Critical Control (FHCC) programme;
* Strengthening safety culture by identifying, assessing and controlling critical hazards;
* Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver key workstreams and monitor performance against defined milestones;
* Ensuring programme objectives are clearly defined, implemented and evaluated;
* Facilitating communication and consultation across operational, technical and leadership domains.
To be successful in this role, you will have strong leadership and management skills, with experience in managing complex programmes and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve common goals. You will also have a deep understanding of risk assessment and control frameworks in high-risk industries, as well as operational expertise or project management credentials. Your ability to influence leaders across the organisation and drive change will be critical.
