About the Role:
As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting heavy vehicles to conduct repairs and preventive maintenance of ground support equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and experience as a tradesman.
Main Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues with heavy vehicles.
* Conduct repairs and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability of ground support equipment.
* Work collaboratively with fabricators, technicians, and assistants to develop effective solutions.
* Utilize various equipment and aviation-specific knowledge to bring a wide range of skills to the role.
* Perform daily reporting and adhere to safety standards and company policies.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Hold a current and valid Driver's License.
* Exposure to diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical fault finding is highly regarded.
* A strong focus on safety standards and relevant company policies & procedures.
* Experience working within procedural guidelines.
* Good communication skills and proactiveness.
* A positive attitude and proactive mindset, with the ability to work autonomously as well as being a good team player.
Benefits:
* A competitive salary from $75,000 to $85,000 depending on experience.
* 4 days on 4 days off shifts - 5 weeks (190 hours) of annual leave.
