THE OPPORTUNITY
Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has become available for an in-store Trade Sales Consultant based in Canning Vale for a motivated and career orientated professional to build and maintain key relationships with our valued Trade customers. This position involves working as part of our collaborative Retail store team - reporting to the Store Manager.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working on a rotating roster which will include some weekend work, including weekend loading rates.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintaining and developing relationships with all assigned customers
* Identifying and developing new customers and confident in cold calling
* Growing sales
* Identifying new product and market opportunities
* Liaising with the operations team to improve product design and customer service
* Preparing project quotations and sales proposals
* Adherence to Stratco safety and other policies and procedures
* Strict adherence to our critical safety rules and contributing to a safe working environment
ABOUT YOU
* A proven sales track record, preferably in the building or hardware industry
* Be action oriented and able to effectively communicate at all levels
* Be a hands on, practical person with a good technical ability
* Estimating experience would be highly valued but not essential
* Be honest, self motivated and have a passionate desire to be successful
* Have the ability to work in a team environment
* Have excellent business building and prospecting skills
* Computer literacy
* The ability to manage multiple customers and priorities
* A team player that has a passion for retail sales!
