The role combines regulatory ownership, functional product management, writing functional specifications and documentation, testing solutions, and close collaboration with development teams, with a strong focus on compliance, accuracy, and real-world accounting and payroll use cases.

* Work at the intersection of regulation, and technology
* See direct impact of your work on thousands of Australian businesses
* Development model: Open with external community
* Tackle meaningful, complex problems in a constantly evolving regulatory environment
* Work and collaborate with Odoo Partners and customers to gather feedback and communicate new releases

Responsibilities

* Local market & business analysis: analyse the local business environment, customer needs, and real-life accounting/payroll use cases to identify localisation gaps, prioritise improvements, and ensure alignment with Odoo's global framework
* Localisation roadmap & development pipeline management: define and maintain a structured localisation backlog. Manage priorities, dependencies, and delivery timelines based on compliance urgency, customer impact, and product strategy
* Cross-team collaboration with R&D: act as the functional interface between local stakeholders and development teams. Create clear functional specifications, clarify requirements, and ensure developments meet Odoo standards and localisation constraints
* Testing, validation & release readiness: test localisation features end-to-end (including reporting and electronic submissions), validate compliance with authorities, coordinate acceptance testing, and ensure production-ready releases
