About the Role
We're looking for a motivated
Trainee Window Fabrication Technician
to join our team. This is a hands-on role working across templating, scanning, CAD preparation, fabrication and installation of premium marine window systems. Some domestic and international travel will be required for vessel assessments and onsite work.
What You'll Be Doing
Measuring and templating marine windows with precision
Using specialised scanning equipment to capture accurate shapes and profiles
Preparing and modifying CAD files for glass and acrylic manufacturing
Selecting and procuring glazing materials (glass, acrylic, polycarbonate, framing)
Assisting with fabrication, finishing and polishing of acrylic and other materials
Assembling, testing and quality-checking window components
Installing windows onsite, including sealing and finishing
Operating workshop machinery and tools safely
Assisting with packaging, loading and dispatch
Liaising with boat builders, designers and stakeholders
Maintaining workshop organisation, documentation and project records
About You

What We're Looking For
CAD proficiency and ability to read technical drawings – or eager to learn
Knowledge of marine materials or fabrication processes
Experience with acrylic/polycarbonate fabrication (highly regarded)
Confidence using power tools and workshop equipment
Strong accuracy, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Willingness to travel (domestic & international)
Current driver's licence
Requirements
Interest/experience in marine, glazing or a similar field welcomed but not essential
Manual driver's licence (required)
Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket – or willingness to obtain
Understanding of marine vessels and systems – a bonus
Ambition to grow into managing multiple jobs
