Your new role
As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you take responsibility for shaping and expanding a public cloud security automation framework that strengthens visibility, governance, and risk reduction across AWS environments. The position focuses on embedding security into delivery pipelines, uplifting engineering teams on best‑practice controls, and implementing automated testing, detection, and response capabilities. The role also involves developing meaningful security metrics, improving tooling and processes, and supporting teams to align to compliance and cloud security standards.
What you'll need to succeed
Strong commercial experience working in AWS environments
Proficiency in Infrastructure‑as‑Code tooling
Knowledge of CloudFormation and at least one programming language such as Python, Java, Ruby, JavaScript, C#, or C++ (Python preferred)
Deep understanding of public cloud security principles, secure coding practices, and cloud governance
Experience building CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline
Background implementing SAST and DAST controls within deployment pipelines
Familiarity with WAF and firewall configuration
Exposure to Splunk or similar log analysis technologies
Understanding of the AWS Well‑Architected Framework
Knowledge of cloud security tooling, risk management processes, and industry best practice
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience working in agile and collaborative engineering environments
