About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Resources team supporting the long-term Civil and Electrical Construction scopes at Barrow Island.
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will support the Project Manager while leading the project team to deliver key outcomes, meet contractual requirements, and maximise project profitability. The role involves carrying out responsibilities in line with the company's values and operational procedures, with a strong focus on safety, environmental responsibility, and quality standards.
About Barrow Island
Barrow Island is located around 60 kilometres from the mainland and approximately 139 kilometres west of the Port of Dampier. It's also home to Chevron's Gorgon Project and WA Oil operations. It is the largest oil field discovered in Western Australia. Ertech has been a major service provider to Chevron Australia's Gorgon Project for over 10 years.
Barrow Island provides excellent on-site accommodation including meal services, as well as gym facilities (mixed and separate gyms available for men & women with a variety of fitness classes to choose from), sporting facilities including a football field, golf simulator, bike hire, 2 swimming pools, basketball court, tennis court and a cricket pitch!
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver the assigned electrical engineering scope in accordance with project management plans, company procedures, contractual requirements, and quality standards while meeting budget and schedule targets.
* Plan, coordinate, and allocate resources and technical tasks for electrical project activities, ensuring efficient workflows and effective management of competing project priorities.
* Monitor project performance including cost, risk, and opportunities, providing regular reports and supporting the Project Manager in maintaining project profitability and successful delivery.
* Develop and maintain strong client relationships by understanding project needs, responding to requests, and identifying opportunities to improve project outcomes.
* Provide technical leadership and problem-solving expertise, analysing complex engineering issues and implementing practical, value-driven solutions for the project.
* Promote a collaborative and safe work environment by supporting team development, demonstrating strong leadership behaviours, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards.
Qualifications & Experience
* Tertiary qualifications – Bachelor of Engineering
* 8-10 years of relevant experience in relevant industry
* CPCWHS1001 Construction White Card
* MUST hold valid Australian Working Rights
* Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
* Drivers License
