Momentum Property is a growing and dynamic real estate business seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with solid accounting experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, professional environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the accounts manager and working inside the team, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day accounting functions of the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Daily use of Xero for bookkeeping and financial management
* Accounts payable and receivable
* Bank and trust account reconciliations in line with NSW & ACT legislation
* Processing invoices, payments, and receipts
* End-of-month reporting and reconciliations
* Liaising with external accountants and auditors as required
* General accounts and administrative support to the team
About You
* Proven experience in an accounts role (real estate experience highly regarded)
* Strong working knowledge of Xero
* Experience with NSW and/or ACT trust accounting requirements
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
* Strong communication skills and a professional approach
