Analyst - securitisation | finance division

Bendigo
Bendigo Bank
Posted: 6 June
Offer description

Closing date: 11 June

We've never been 'just a bank'. Just like you should never be 'just an employee'. We're united in our belief that in banking, better can be bigger, and together we're making it happen.

It starts here. With Bendigo Bank... and you.

An exciting opportunity has emerged to join our Securitisation and Structured Finance Management (SSFM) team as an Analyst. This is an ideal entry point for a recent graduate or someone early in their career looking to build a strong foundation in financial control and treasury operations within a dynamic and supportive environment.

The SSFM team is a crucial operational support function for the bank's Treasury and Portfolio Funding divisions. We manage the bank's securitised Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS) debt issuances, our covered bond programme reporting, and various structured lending and asset acquisition portfolios.

As an Analyst, you will be integral to the day-to-day administration and operation of these programmes. You will take initiative in your work, carrying out trust distribution and funding tasks, preparing month-end reporting and performing data analysis. This role offers the chance to develop a deep understanding of treasury products and make a tangible impact on our financial operations.

This is a 12-month fixed‐term position, with potential for extension or transition into a permanent role. Preferred locations: Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, or Bendigo. We embrace a hybrid work model, combining office-based collaboration with the flexibility to work from home.

What you'll bring to the role
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to maintain and review financial models.
* A curious mindset with the ability to take initiative, analyse complex problems, and formulate solutions.
* High attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
* Excellent communication skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* An understanding of loan processing from business or commercial banking would be beneficial.
* Experience with Treasury Management Systems (like Quantum) is preferred, but not essential.
* A tertiary qualification (or be close to completing one) in finance, accounting, commerce, or a related field.
* Progress towards a post‐graduate qualification (CA / CFA / CPA) is also highly desirable.
So, why work for us?

We believe a diverse workforce supported by an inclusive culture is central to our success and we actively encourage applications from those who bring diversity of thought to our business. We support candidate requests for adjustment to accommodate an illness, injury, or disability to equitably participate in the selection process.

* Flexibility means different things for different people. Whether it's hybrid work, flexible hours, a compressed work week, job‐sharing or something different, our flexible work options are designed to put people first.
* Health and wellbeing support, including discounted gym memberships, private health insurance options, and our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your immediate family members.
* Opportunities to take your learning to the next level through our corporate university 'BEN U' or at an external provider of your choice.
