Clinical Educator for Allied Health
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lecturer in Clinical Allied Health to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and expanding student placements across various Allied Health disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Building industry partnerships to create placement opportunities for Allied Health students and graduates.
* Overseeing allied health placements to ensure high-quality, student-centred supervision that meets rural and Aboriginal health needs.
* Supporting the development of an inter-professional student service-learning program and identifying additional training opportunities for local clinical supervisors.
* Enhancing the placement experience by organising value-add activities like community projects and remote training.
Requirements:
* A qualification in a relevant discipline such as occupational therapy, physiotherapy, social work, speech pathology, dietetics, and nutrition or equivalent accreditation and professional standing.
* Demonstrated high-level teaching skills and effective clinical supervision and mentorship across multiple settings.
* A strong understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice, implementing clinical training programs for allied health students.
* Demonstrated experience/capacity to undertake unit coordination and training sessions to enhance clinical education practices.
* High-level communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with a commitment to developing a collegial and supportive working environment and interacting with students and staff with cross-cultural sensitivity.
* Commitment to applying relevant policies, procedures, and legislation in daily performance.
* Experience in Aboriginal and rural and remote health is essential.
