Job Overview
The Intensive Family Support Service delivers targeted interventions for vulnerable families with children and young people up to 18 years of age who are at risk of statutory child protection involvement.
Family Coordinators collaborate closely with families to identify needs, provide intensive support, and facilitate engagement with specialist services.
* Develop tailored interventions with parents and caregivers to enhance their skills and capacity in nurturing and protecting their children safely.
* Implement strategies for engaging families experiencing domestic and family violence.
* Conduct home visits, continuously assessing safety and child protection concerns.
* Identify, develop, and maintain case plans and goals with families to address child protection concerns.
* Undertake risk assessments where domestic and family violence is identified, engaging all family members.
* Negotiate and liaise with service providers, including Child Safety.
* Manage a caseload of families independently.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
