The Role
You will provide high‐quality specialist anaesthetic services within a busy and collaborative team, including:
* Delivering safe, evidence‐based anaesthesia across a broad case mix
* Participation in an on‐call roster (negotiable)
* Teaching and supervision of junior doctors and trainees
* Involvement in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement
Private Practice Opportunity
Unlike many roles, this position offers genuine support to establish private practice, including:
* Access to private hospital sessional rooms
* Assistance with credentialing and setup
* Introductions to local referrers and networks
The Hospital
* 247‐bed public hospital with recent redevelopment
* 5‐bed ICU + coronary care
* 24/7 Emergency Department
* Full surgical services including obstetrics, orthopaedics, and paediatrics
About you
* Eligible for Specialist Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Fellowship of Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent
* Experience as a Consultant / Specialist Anaesthetist
* Strong commitment to teamwork, education, and patient‐centred care
