Our factory in Armidale is a beauty to see with an amazing selection of buildings under construction at any time. The genius of the manufacturing process is the regulated ‘drum beat’ that it runs to. A bit like a car factory - each building moves through a production line of work stations. Starting off as a steel chassis and ending up as a completed, ready to occupy building in as little as 21 days.

Description:
Are you ready to step into the construction industry or looking to build on your existing skills? Uniplan is seeking a motivated and reliable Trades Assistant to join our dynamic team.
About the Role:
As a Trades Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced tradespeople, gaining exposure to a variety of tasks and trades within our modular building process. This is an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on experience, explore future career pathways in the trades, and potentially begin an apprenticeship in the trade that best suits your strengths and interests.
At Uniplan, you’ll be working across a broad range of trades that are essential to our modular home construction, including framing, carpentry, cladding, painting, electrical, plumbing, and so much more. This variety allows you to gain insight into different skill areas and identify where your interests and strengths lie, making it an ideal role for someone who’s eager to learn and grow in the construction field. Whether you’re just starting out or have a bit of experience, this role can open doors across multiple trades within our factory environment.
Skills and Experiences:

* A great attitude and strong work ethic
* Experience in construction is welcomed, but not essential
* A current White Card (or willingness to obtain one) is required for this role.
* Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
* Safety-conscious with a can-do mindset
