Design Build is hiring a full‑time Maintenance Electrician – Afternoon Shift to join an advanced manufacturing facility in Glendenning, NSW.
The position runs Monday to Friday, starting at 2:30 pm, with unlimited overtime and a competitive hourly rate of $60 (including loading allowance) plus superannuation.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on electrical and control systems across automated equipment.
* Diagnose and repair electrical faults on conveyors, motors, sensors, PLC‑controlled systems, and other plant machinery.
* Assist with the installation, wiring, and commissioning of new equipment and system upgrades.
* Conduct electrical safety testing and inspections in accordance with relevant standards.
* Maintain accurate service and maintenance documentation.
* Work collaboratively with mechanical and automation teams to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
* Comply with all electrical safety regulations and company quality standards.
About You
* Trade qualified Electrical Fitter / Electrician (Cert III or equivalent).
* Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing, automation, or industrial maintenance environment.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and fault‑finding techniques.
* Experience working with PLC‑based systems, VSDs, and instrumentation (advantageous).
* Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
