About The Role

Where Regulation, Strategy and Commercial Rigour Meet

We’re looking for a Leader Regulatory Finance & Investment Governance to own our regulatory finance outcomes and provide trusted, high-impact financial leadership at the most critical decision-making tables.

This is a senior role for a commercially astute finance leader who thrives in complex regulatory environments and can translate regulation into clear, defensible and value-driven financial outcomes.

You will lead the Regulatory Finance function and -

Provide strategic financial leadership for major regulatory programs, including revenue reset submissions and broader regulatory initiativesDeliver robust financial modelling, analysis and decision support to the Executive and Board on regulatory, pricing and investment outcomesLead the Finance stream of regulatory programs, ensuring strong governance, analytical integrity and commercial rigourOwn investment governance oversight, including management of the Investment Governance Committee, oversight of benefits realisation, and development of fit-for-purpose financial frameworksProvide expert commercial and financial insight to support regulatory reporting, incentive schemes, allowances and performance trackingLead the coordination and delivery of financial inputs for AER reporting and regulatory submissions, ensuring compliance with cost allocation principles, National Electricity Rules and regulatory guidelinesPartner closely with Finance and Regulation teams to shape corporate financial strategy, financial plans and forecasts, balancing regulatory and sustainable commercial outcomes

About You

You’re a strategic finance leader with deep regulatory capability and the confidence to influence at the highest levels.

You’ll bring -

7–10+ years’ experience in senior finance leadership or working within complex regulatory environmentsTertiary or postgraduate qualifications in Commerce, Economics, Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experienceStrong understanding of the Australian Energy Industry, NEM and regulatory frameworksDemonstrated expertise in contemporary financial modelling and best-practice analytical approachesProven ability to build trusted internal and external partnerships and influence complex stakeholder groupsHighly developed analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality and governanceSound judgement and decision-making capability in environments of ambiguity and changeProven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams while managing competing priorities
