AES are looking for a skilled detail-oriented and driven painter for a project in Far North Queensland. The current project is 3 weeks with possibility of more work.
You will be responsible for preparation and applying high-quality paint finishes, ensuring they meet industry standard for quality and protection.
About the roles:

Responsibilities:
* Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding and applying primers as needed.
* Mix and apply sealants to seamlines.
* Apply Epoxy and polyurethane coatings using spray guns and other equipment to ensure even and smooth coatings on surfaces.
* Mix and match paint sealants to meet specifications, ensuring proper thickness and coverage.
* Inspect surfaces for imperfections and correct any defects before final coatings are applied.
* Ensure compliance with quality standards, industry regulations, and company policies.
* Maintain all painting tools and equipment in proper working order.
* Document work performed, including materials used, time taken, and any issues encountered during the process.
About you:
* Highly skilled, experienced in aircraft painting.
* Track record of excellence in previous roles.
* Knowledge of various paint types, techniques and application methods.
* Knowledge of surface preparation techniques.
* Familiarity with safety protocols related to painting and chemical handling.
* Confident individual capable of working autonomously and as part of a team.
* Experience with large-scale painting projects.
* Creative thinker with the ability to solve problems effectively.

Requirements
* Certification in painting or related field.
* Current Human Factors.
* Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol testing.
* Ability to obtain ASIC card.
* Compliance with OH&S regulations of the employer
