Job Description
About the Role
We partner with an ASX 100-listed technology company offering advanced data centre outsourcing solutions. As a Security Officer, you will maintain data integrity and provide exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for visitors and contractors. The role is full‐time on a Day Shift (6 AM–6 PM) 4 on 4 off roster, located in Artarmon, NSW.
Sign‐on bonus (only for NV1‐cleared officers): $1,500 after 6 months and $1,500 after 12 months of service.
Responsibilities
* Ensure that only authorized personnel enter and exit restricted areas, maintaining a secure environment.
* Monitor security systems (Class 5 alarms, duress alarms, portal resets) and respond promptly to incidents.
* Act as the first responder to emergencies, administer First Aid when required, and manage the situation until further assistance arrives.
* Conduct on‐foot and CCTV patrols of assigned areas, identifying and addressing potential hazards.
* Write detailed shift reports and provide clear handovers for smooth operations.
Desired Skills and Experience
* AGSVA NV1 Clearance required.
* Experience using IT systems for security access and control.
* Australian Citizen with full working rights in the respective state.
* Valid Security License (Class 1A or equivalent).
* Excellent communication and observational skills.
* Strong customer service experience with multi‐tasking abilities.
* Conflict resolution, negotiation skills, and intermediate PC skills (MS Suite).
* Exceptional customer service standards, greeting visitors and assisting as needed.
* Compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Experience in report writing, site patrol duties, and communication via two‐way radio.
* Must be punctual, responsible, and lead by example, supporting a safety and compliance culture.
