Job Overview:
The Research and Training Manager plays a crucial role in leading the development and implementation of graduate programs.
This involves ensuring comprehensive research training and professional development opportunities, contributing to performance monitoring, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance our position as leaders in training the next generation of cancer researchers.
To be successful, you will need:
* Demonstrated experience working in research-intensive environments managing research activities and higher degree by research students.
* Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance, effectively driving key objectives to completion within established timeframes.
* Experience in all aspects of project management including project planning, executing plans, monitoring and reporting, achieving milestones and managing relationships.
* Outstanding interpersonal skills to work collegially as part of an interdisciplinary team and with a wide range of stakeholder groups, paired with sound conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated level of discretion in dealing with day-to-day operational matters.
* Experience organising professional events, seminars, and academic development programs.
