About the Role
* Support balance sheet management, financial control and governance activities.
* Own month-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments and provisions.
* Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and reconciliations.
* Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances.
* Assist with half-year and year-end reporting, including financial statements and audit queries.
* Manage revenue accruals, payroll accounting and debtor reporting.
* Oversee banking processes, cash management and support cash forecasting.
* Drive process improvements, automation and greater efficiency across financial accounting.
Additional Responsibilities
* Participate in Financial Accounting team projects and initiatives
* Review new programs and determine appropriate accounting treatment
* Support equity accounting operations, including payroll, vendors, debtors and cash
* Complete Australian Bureau of Statistics surveys
* Assist with regulatory returns (BAS, FBT, PAYG and Payroll Tax)
* Perform grant acquittals and related reporting
About you:
* CA- or CPA-qualified, ideally Big 4-trained.
* A second-time mover with prior experience transitioning into the industry.
* Strong grounding in financial accounting, with a hands-on approach to balance sheet management and financial control.
* Confident in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and overseeing reconciliations.
* Solid understanding of governance and statutory reporting requirements.
* Proactive mindset with a focus on improving processes and strengthening controls.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail matter.
