PORT PIRIE REGIONAL HEALTH SERVICE Port Pirie Regional Health Service is a 52-bed acute facility inclusive of Emergency, Peri-operative, Renal Dialysis, Chemotherapy, Birthing, Outpatient Services, Acute Medical and Surgical Services with a co-located Residential Aged Care Facility - Hammill House. With over 15,000 presentations through ED each year along with surgical and direct admissions of patients across the lifespan, the service is supported by onsite Medical team, SA Pharmacy, SA Pathology, SA Dental Service and SA Medical imaging. The department is focussed on timely comprehensive assessment, treatment, and medical care for patients, specialising in managing acute medical conditions of varying acuity including both paediatric patients, mental health presentations and palliative care. The acute surgical unit specialises in post operative care of orthopaedic, ENT, general surgery, urology, endoscopic and dental patients and encompasses a midwifery team led delivery suite. The unit includes a team of highly skilled and dedicated medical, nursing, allied health and support staff who work together to provide comprehensive care to patients in alignment with their care goals.
