About the Role:

Your Key Responsibilities:

* Assist participants with personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support participants with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, household chores, and medication management.
* Encourage participants to engage in community activities, such as social events, hobbies, and education programs.
* Maintain accurate records of participant progress and provide regular updates to relevant parties.

Requirements:

* You must have an Australian Business Number (ABN), which takes only 5 minutes to register and is free if registered under your personal name.
* Provide proof of Right to Work, i.e., Australian Citizenship or a Grant Visa.
* Hold relevant Australian Qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support.
* Possess a current Police Clearance obtained within the last 3 years.
* Hold a First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate, both obtained within specified timeframes.
* Complete the Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety and You' from the NDIS Commission.

Benefits:

* You will have more control over your role, with higher hourly rates and flexibility to choose your working hours and services provided.
* You can decide on the type of services you want to provide to participants, such as domestic care, personal care, and community access.
* You will receive professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
* You will have access to an on-call customer service team based in Sydney, comprising qualified Registered Nurses who can act as mentors and be contacted directly for assistance.

Additional Information:

* New roles become available regularly, including afternoon, evening, night, weekend, and public holiday shifts, which attract additional allowances.
* Sometimes, roles may require transporting participants to access the community, such as appointments, movies, shopping, or school, for which you will receive a transport allowance per hour.
