**The Role:**
The cook will work under the guidance of the chef supervisor to prepare, cook and serve nourishing meals for residents that are consistent with food safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in preparing, provision and presentation of food and drink to ensure all meals are well accepted by the residents.
* Provide special dietary requirements for individual residents as specified by dieticians, speech therapists or clinical care teams.
* Ensure stock levels are reported to the chef supervisor for ordering.
* Document, communicate, implement and monitor the food safety program in partnership with the chef supervisor.
* Support catering staff to maintain a clean and non-cluttered work environment and promote safe work practices.
* Plan and carry out daily workload in an organised and professional manner.
* Perform any other tasks within employees' skills as directed by management.
Requirements:
* FHCT (Food Handling Course)
* Certificate relevant to the role (e.g. Certificate III Hospitality - Commercial Cookery)
* Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire)
* Experience in residential aged care
* Experience in hospitality
