About the Role
This is a day-shift position overseeing end-to-end production on a key manufacturing line. You'll be responsible for leading the daily operation, ensuring output, quality and safety standards are met, and supporting continuous improvement as the site grows.
It's a hands‐on supervisory role where your leadership on the floor, ability to troubleshoot, and drive for consistency will make a real impact.
Location: Western Suburbs, Melbourne
Shift: 5.00 am – 2.00 pm
Responsibilities
* Lead, coach and mentor production staff during day shift operations.
* Coordinate daily schedules, labour allocation and production run performance.
* Maintain strict adherence to food safety, quality and allergen‐control procedures.
* Ensure compliance with site WHS standards and drive a safe working culture.
* Oversee documentation, batch records and reporting requirements.
* Identify and support opportunities for process improvement and waste reduction.
* Champion communication on the floor and foster a positive team environment.
What They're Looking For
* Third level degree qualification – demonstrating capability, analytical thinking and a growth mindset.
* Experience as a Production Supervisor or Senior Operator in FMCG, food, beverage, meat, or similar manufacturing.
* Strong Continuous Improvement background – data‐driven decision making.
* Strong people leadership – confident, approachable, and able to set clear expectations.
* Hands‐on mindset with a willingness to be out on the floor.
* Familiarity with HACCP, GMP and food‐safety systems.
* Organised, proactive and capable of managing a busy, fast‐paced operation.
* Someone who thrives in a growing business where you can influence processes and culture.
