AUD Debt Capital Markets (DCM) Syndicate plays a key role in the execution and distribution of AUD bond transactions across a diverse range of Citi clients, including: Investment grade and high yield domestic and international corporates and financial institutionsAOFM, Semi-government, and quasi-government borrowersOffshore Sovereign, Agency and Supranational issuers The product focus would be a combination of: Senior, unsecured securitiesCovered bondsSubordinated transactions including Subordinated debt and Hybrid securities This individual would work with a broad range of internal stake holders including Domestic and International DCM and Leverage Finance, Markets sales and trading & Derivatives and partners in IBD and Corporate Bank. External focus is also key, as the individual would engage with domestic and global sales to manage investor relationships for primary distribution. The role has a large focus on risk management & compliance given the primary distribution function and private / public nature of the role Key Responsibilities: Lead the syndication, pricing, and distribution process for AUD bond transactions in both domestic and Kangaroo marketsAbility to act of Billing & Delivery and investor hedgingAdvise internal and external stakeholders on optimal pricing, market timing, investor appetite, and structural considerations for new issuesAct as a central point of coordination across origination, sales, trading, compliance, legal, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of dealsWork with global sales on investor engagement and management of primary transactionsManage bookbuilding, investor communication, orderbook analysis, and allocation processes with transparency and integrityBuild and maintain strong relationships with a broad range of fixed income investors including domestic fund managers, bank balance sheets, and central banksMaintain a real-time view of the AUD primary and secondary markets, including relative value trends, spread movements, and issuance pipelineContribute to internal market commentary, investor insights, and strategic planning for origination teamsSupport the development and mentorship of junior team members and foster a high-performance team culture Key Qualifications and Experience: 7–10 years of experience in DCM or Fixed Income markets, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a syndicate or execution-focused roleStrong understanding of the AUD bond market, including Kangaroo issuance, semi-government pricing dynamics, and investor behaviourDeep knowledge of fixed income structures, regulatory frameworks (including ASIC and AFMA guidelines), and settlement processesDemonstrated ability to manage live deal pressure with precision and confidenceAdvanced skills in Excel, Bloomberg, and market analytics platformsTertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Engineering Success Profile: Highly numerate, analytical, and calm under pressureCommercially astute with a deep understanding of investor behaviour and pricing psychologyStrong communicator with the ability to influence and build trust across senior stakeholdersProven ability to lead transactions with integrity and professionalismPassion for capital markets and a commitment to excellence in executionAbility to work with multiple stakeholders and drive culture and revenue opportunitiesIntense focus on risk Job Family Group: Institutional Banking Job Family: Investment Banking Time Type: Full time Most Relevant Skills Please see the requirements listed above.
