About us:
The Central Queensland, Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS) provides evidence-based care and treatment within a recovery-based model for individuals with mental health conditions and/or drug and alcohol problems across a range of inpatient, ambulatory, community, rehabilitation, and correctional service settings.
Care is delivered by multi-disciplinary teams operating, where applicable, with other government and non-government organisations and primary health care providers. Rockhampton is the main referral centre for Central Queensland which includes Gladstone, Banana, Central Highlands, and the Capricorn Coast (catchment population of approximately 230,000).
About the role:
You'll build strong relationships across stakeholders, streamline systems, and enhance workflows to boost organisational effectiveness. With sound judgement, discretion and the ability to work autonomously, you'll confidently resolve issues, prioritise competing demands and keep everything on track. Collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused, you'll contribute to continuous improvement while helping the team achieve big-picture goals - all with professionalism and precision!
Manage and organise all aspects of the office of the relevant General Manager through the provision of efficient, effective, and confidential executive and administrative support services.
Coordinate and manage the workload priorities and commitments of the General Manager, through diary and correspondence management, including appropriate tracking and monitoring of deadlines.
Provide professional frontline reception services by screening of telephone calls, electronic and written correspondence, including departmental briefs and ministerial-related requests for information and unscheduled requests.
About you:
How will you exceed in this role you ask?
You will have the ability and experience in managing and prioritising the commitments and associated activities for Health Executive level staff, including the ability to initiate, determine and follow up work within mandated and tight timeframes.
Obtain advanced knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in contemporary computer software applications, including Microsoft Office
Demonstrate a high-level of interpersonal and written communication skills that reflect the ability to liaise effectively, diplomatically, and discretely at all levels of the organisation and with other government and non-government agencies, organisations, and members of the public.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $9,800 p.m. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $47.18 - $51.98 p.h.
12.75% employer superannuation contribution
