About the role
Join us as Venue Manager across Ripe Sassafras and Citrine Bistro & Bar — two well-established venues in the Dandenong Ranges, each with a strong identity and loyal following.
This is a full-time, hands-on leadership role working closely with the MD. You’ll be responsible for leading service, developing your team, and driving performance across both venues — maintaining what’s working, while lifting standards and consistency where needed.
What you’ll be doing
* Leading day-to-day operations across both venues
* Being present on the floor — leading service and setting the tone
* Building, developing and motivating strong front-of-house teams
* Strengthening consistency and overall guest experience, particularly at Ripe
* Coordinating functions and group bookings with attention to detail
* Monitoring performance across sales, wages and costs
* Working alongside the MD to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
* Supporting marketing and promotional initiatives where relevant
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety and licensing requirements
What we’re looking for
* Proven experience in a venue management or senior hospitality leadership role
* A hands-on leader who leads by example and stays calm under pressure
* Strong commercial awareness — confident managing costs, performance and reporting
* The ability to step into an existing team and positively influence standards and culture
* A natural ability to read a room and deliver a consistent guest experience
* Experience coordinating functions and events smoothly
* Confidence using systems, reporting tools, and day-to-day admin platforms
* A practical, solutions-focused approach
* Someone who brings ideas and enjoys contributing to the growth of a business
