Key Role: Senior Grill and Pans Chef
At a prestigious hotel, we are seeking an accomplished senior chef to spearhead the grill and pans section in our renowned à la carte restaurant. As part of our dynamic dinner team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional culinary experiences to discerning guests.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in high-pressure kitchen environments and possess expertise in steak preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques. Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior colleagues will be essential in this role.
A key aspect of this position is maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP compliance while collaborating with the CDP and Sous Chef to ensure seamless service delivery, quality control, and team efficiency.
Responsibilities:
* Run the grill and pans section during dinner service, producing exquisite dishes with precision and flair.
* Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of steak cuts, doneness levels, and presentation techniques.
* Prepare and maintain mise en place for efficient service.
* Support banquets and breakfast operations as required.
* Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards.
* Collaborate with senior chefs to ensure timely service and quality control.
Requirements:
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
* Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a high-end à la carte restaurant or hotel environment.
* Excellent knowledge of steak preparation and cooking techniques.
