The Opportunity
">
* We are seeking an experienced chemist to join our Liquid Technical Services team based in Kooragang NSW. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for processing various waste chemical streams, including treatment, consolidation, and repackaging.
* Key responsibilities include providing technical support and guidance for the acceptance, treatment, and storage of liquid and hazardous waste, providing technical and analytical support to sales teams and external customers, assisting plant managers with waste management and production, running treatability trials, selecting treatment methods, and verifying their suitability.
About You
">
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, sound experience working with waste or hazardous chemicals, and previous experience in wastewater treatment facilities or chemical fixation and stabilisation facilities. Field sampling or laboratory experience is also highly regarded. You must be meticulous in your record-keeping skills and have a sound knowledge of operating/calibrating instruments such as ICP and Laboratory equipment.
