The North Australian Aboriginal Family Legal Service (NAAFLS) is a not‐for‐profit organisation delivering holistic legal and support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people experiencing domestic, family and sexual violence. With offices across the Top End, our work is grounded in cultural respect, community collaboration, and self‐determination.
About the Role
We're leading delivery of the Leaving Violence Program – Top End Regional Trial, a national initiative helping people safely leave violence through culturally grounded, practical support.
As a Case Worker, you will deliver trauma‐informed, culturally protected case management and work alongside clients to develop safety plans, access financial assistance, and connect with community supports.
Responsibilities
* Deliver trauma‐informed, culturally protected case management.
* Work with clients to develop safety plans.
* Assist clients in accessing financial assistance.
* Connect clients with community supports.
* Maintain accurate case management records.
* Manage competing priorities and overnight travel to remote communities.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience in culturally protected, trauma‐informed service delivery.
* Communication, advocacy, and mentoring skills.
* Relevant qualifications or strong experience in social or community services.
* Database management and Microsoft Office skills and experience.
* Current NT Driver Licence, WWCC, and explicit Criminal History Check (or ability to obtain).
* Willingness to undertake overnight travel to remote communities and manage competing priorities.
* Qualified, team‐focused approach.
