Supply Chain Category Manager Role
We are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Category Manager to drive business improvements through strategic sourcing and operational execution.
* This exciting opportunity allows you to own and manage an assigned category, taking ownership of the entire product lifecycle from sourcing to delivery.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Sourcing Strategy: Set the sourcing strategy for the category, ensuring optimal procurement practices and cost savings.
2. Purchasing Negotiations: Conduct purchasing negotiations with suppliers to secure the best possible prices and terms.
3. Supply Partner Management: Source new and existing supply partners, building strong relationships to ensure reliable delivery and quality products.
4. Operational Execution: Deliver product to branches, managing inventory levels and logistics to meet customer demands.
5. Range Review: Conduct regular range reviews to assess product performance and make data-driven decisions.
Requirements:
* A tertiary qualification in logistics, procurement, and/or supply chain management is required.
* 3+ years in distribution and supply chain experience, including procurement, supply planning, and demand management.
* Ability to execute strategic actions and initiatives that result in lower costs and improved efficiency and product availability.
* High-level attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
